DRAFT — ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED. This page is an unreviewed draft prepared for James A. Anderson, Esq. It has not been approved for publication and must be reviewed (and the bracketed items resolved) before launch.
This Privacy Policy explains how Anderson Law Firm (“the firm,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through this website, which markets The 4% Residence Trust, a flat-fee legal service. The firm’s principal office is 302 N. Weston St., Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
Information we collect
We collect the information you choose to give us. If you send a message asking us to schedule a call, that includes only:
- Your name(s).
- Your telephone number.
- Your email address.
We also receive limited technical information automatically, such as pages viewed and general device information, through privacy-focused analytics provided by our hosting platform. Our savings calculator runs entirely in your browser — the figures you enter there are not transmitted to us.
Payments
This website does not take payment online. If you later engage the firm, payment details are collected separately through the firm’s usual billing process — not through this brochure site.
How we use information
- To schedule a brief discovery call and communicate with you.
- To evaluate whether the firm can accept a matter, if you later ask us to do so.
- To comply with law and professional-responsibility obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
No attorney–client relationship from this form
Sending a message or calling the office does not create an attorney–client relationship and does not by itself make your communication a privileged communication. An attorney–client relationship begins only when the firm completes a conflict check and both you and the firm sign an engagement letter. Even so, we treat inquiries as confidential.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to respond to your inquiry or as required by law — for example, with our hosting and email providers, with the county register of deeds/assessor if we are later engaged to record a deed or support a 4% legal-residence application, and with your other advisors when you ask us to. Our service providers currently include [JAMES: confirm and list: Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and any practice-management or document-storage system the firm uses].
How long we keep it
If the firm declines the matter, we retain enough information to document the conflict check. If we are engaged, client files are retained under the firm’s file-retention policy, which is [JAMES: state the retention period and destruction practice].
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send highly sensitive information — such as Social Security numbers, account numbers, or copies of identity documents — through this website. We will tell you a secure way to send those if they are needed.
Children
This website is directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our professional-responsibility and record-keeping obligations. Email james@sclegacylaw.com or call (864) 228-7808. [JAMES: confirm whether any state privacy statute requires a formal rights request process or response deadline for your client base]
Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
